Jack Tizzard School- Charity of the Year
Our next-door neighbour, Jack Tizzard School offers an education for children and young people with severe learning difficulties and those with profound and multiple learning difficulties. (You may have spotted some of their pupils from the school taking part in the half time Pritt Stick Challenge at the Crystal Palace match).
QPR has established strong links with the school with the Club's community coaches providing football for the children and the Players visiting the school at Christmas to give the children gifts.
The Club has now announced that the school has been chosen as QPR's Charity of the Year. This follows an initiative by fans supported by QPR1st and LSA which raised over £800 for the school.
A bucket collection will be held later this season and QPR1st will also be raising more funds with half the proceeds of our Xmas raffle going to this worthy cause.
If you have any further fund raising ideas please let us know.
Kickz Scheme (Goals thru football)
If you are (or know) any youngsters who live in the vicinity of the St Raphael's Estate in Brent then you may be interested in getting involved in QPR's Kickz Scheme.
Each week young people aged 13-18 can take part in three sessions. In the first session they can train with professional football coaches and develop their football skills and abilities. In the second session they can take part in 5 a side competitions and matches. In the third session they can get involved in other activities such as playing another sport or participating in a drama or music activity.

Moving the Goalposts Traveller Football Project
In May 2006, QPR became the first football club to launch a project reaching out to Traveller communities in London .
The 'Moving the Goalposts' Traveller Football Project aims to improve the sporting, health, employment and life opportunities for youngsters from traveller communities by channelling the power of the game to promote social inclusion.
In particular the project has targeted youngsters from the traveler community to encourage them to attend school.
If you are from a traveller community and like to know more then contact Andy Evans andye@qpr.co.uk
