Appeal for Bike Ride Sponsors

On June 16th, Rs fan and QPR 1st member, Ian Wilcox, is riding the London to Brighton bike ride along with 26,000 other mad cyclists. Ian is raising funds for the British Heart Foundation and would be very grateful for any sponsorship. Below Ian tells us a little bit about himself.

I have been supporting QPR since I was about 7 years old - having been taken to a game with my friend and his dad and have never looked back. Good times and bad! I have been married to Corinna for 12 years - she too follows the R's although doesn't manage too many games now as we have 5 children, Alex (9), Daniel (8), Sophie (5), Lydia (2), and Harry, the baby of the family. Both my older boys are avid fans and despite peer pressure at school to 'follow' other 'premiership' teams they stick by their team through thick and thin (like father, like sons). I used to play football myself for a Sunday team but gave it up in favour of being 'the man in black'! I now referee for the Marathon Sunday league and really enjoy the abuse!! - no, actually, it is quite good fun and I don't get too much stick. I enjoy golf (when I get the time) and cycling as well as driving - which I do for a living - and travelling. We take annual camping holidays in France and Spain which we thoroughly enjoy - really to be recommended if you have as many kids as us and of varying ages.

If you would like to sponsor Ian cheques should be made payable to The British Heart Foundation and send to Ian at 20 Fairacres, Ruisilip, HA4 8AN.
Ian is also part of the QPR 1st Fundraising team and is keen to assist the Supporters Trust and any donations to the Trust can also be sent to Ian with cheques made payable to QPR 1st.

Reminders and an update regarding Ian's sponsorship will be given nearer to the time of the bike race. In the meantime good luck to Ian as he trains for the event by pedalling the streets of Ruislip.
