Come On you Rs
Forty-five games gone, and our season and possibly many seasons to come pivots on what happens in the 90 odd minutes of football this Saturday at Hillsborough. Now the players and the players' management, can grasp the opportunity and drive home our advantage - three points is all that is needed.
There is nothing that any businessman, board member, money lender, marketing guru, club administrator or fans' representative can do to change that fact now. All the work has been done to get us to this point.
We can all however, as individual QPR fans united in our support, make Hillsborough a cauldron of noise. Collectively we can drive our team forward. No room for criticism, sighing, sitting on hands. It's time to literally sing your hearts out for the lads. For those 8000+ lucky enough to be able to witness this game, be sure you WILL make a difference.
For those, equally ardent but perhaps back at Loftus Road watching the beamback, or listening to radio, or QPR World commentary or even just sitting at home watching teletext, you've done your bit by supporting the Rs throughout this season. Cheer on too - it'll make you feel better.
If the worst should happen, we'll have another chance in the play-offs. It is worth remembering that we are lucky enough to be witnessing this momentous day. So many ordinary football fans lost their lives in the very stand we shall be visiting on Saturday. If we lose or lose in the play-offs, it is worth remembering that we are still the lucky ones.
If the best should happen, then enjoy it, enjoy it for every single moment. It has been 21 years since QPR was promoted from any division. The loyalty of QPR fans deserves its own special rewards.
Travel safely, keep safe in Sheffield and let's hope we return to the biggest Saturday night party Shepherd's Bush has ever seen.
Come On You Rs
